Army Half Marathon 2005

(Esplande Bridge)

Today, I completed another long distance running race in the 21km Army Half Marathon at the Esplanade, and this is the 2nd time I took part in the 21km race. However it is the 1st time I participated as a competitive runner this year. The 21km race started as early as 5.45am, I am sure that not many of you guys and gals are awake during that time on a sunday morning correct? hehe. :)

Too bad, I ran slow today since I dont have much time to train for the run as I was quite busy with my school work. But I still managed to completed the 21km race in around 2hour 15min, but it is slower by a lot, compared to 1 hour 50+min timing that I ran in the army 2 years ago.

Anyway, I am still quite satisfied that I completed the 21 race by my own and got a finisher medal. haha. long time never get a medal already.

Btw FYI, more ladies are taking part in the 21km run and some are running faster than men also. dont play play. I was also overtaken by the girls in the last few kilometres. In addition, I also saw an auntie running the 21km also. haha. :)

At the end of the finishing point, I also saw 2 sergants from my army unit and 3 of my University schoolmates. haha. But today, it was a great day for me, as I have completed in another running event.

My next targets will be the NIE biathlon (2 weeks more), Run-Round Singapore race by NTU (3 weeks more) and hopefully the Singapore Marathon in the end of the year. Need to work and train hard loh. hehe :)
