Finally it is the start of a brand new year with uncertainties ahead. On the New Year eve of 2006, we met up with a few of my poly classmates where we had a steamboat dinner at Marina Bay. After the dinner, we proceed on to the Esplanade to secure a place for us to catch the count down Firework that will be conduced there. We were securing our place as early as 10.15pm, and we were chatting along to get past the 1hr and 45min duration before the commencing of the count down fireworks.
A funny thing appeared at around 11.55pm, where people standing behind us started to count down for the New Year. Unfortunately after their count down, there was no fireworks appearing and I guessed their timing on their watches were too fast (too excited for 2006??). Another unfortunate thing was that there was no count down of timing by the DJ who was conducting some stage shows behind, which appeared to be a disappointing one.

As the time struck 12.00am on my watch, the first 2 fireworks started to appear on the dark sky that lightens up the city. Following that, more fireworks gradually appeared with different type of patterns combination and colours. We had a great time watching the Fireworks which lasted for around 10 minutes.
After the wonderful fireworks, people started leaving, and as there will sure be a huge crowd at the bus stops and MRT stations, so we went to have some desert instead before proceeding back home for a good night sleep.
So what will every of you doing on the New Year eve??
By the way, wishing all a Happy New Year ahead and hope everything turns out great this year.
