Thai Horror Movie – Spirit of the Victim

I was lucky to win a complimentary movie pass and a movie poster from the NTU Chronicle contest on Monday, 15 Jan. However the funny thing is that there is only 1 movie ticket, which normally this type of contest will give a pair of tickets.

Maybe its because of the movie poster, that’s why only 1 ticket. With the free ticket, I went to watch this Thai Horror Movie – “Spirit of the Victim” myself on Tuesday, 16 Jan. Actually, I did not realized that there is this horror movie showing now (Started showing on 4th Jan), until I saw it inside the article of NTU Chronicle.

Ha. Since the movie has shown for 2 weeks or so, hence the theatre was quite empty, I think not more than 30 people watching this movie (perhaps its Thai movie or not that popular bah). I picked the best spot at the last row of seat at the centre portion and catch this horror movie. Anyway, I seldom watch Thai Horror movie, and this is my first time watching it too.

As the show progress, I think almost every scene, there is something to scare or frighten the audiences, with some scary scenes predictable and some others unpredictable. I also get some scary shock from a few scenes as I was watching alone. But it was still alright. Ha. At the end of the show, most of the audiences left the theatre quickly, and I think they have enough of this 103 min of horror and scary stuff bah. Hehe.

I would recommend those with weak heart not to watch this movie as it is really quite horror for some. Whereas for those who are more DARING and BRAVE to take up the challenge, you can try out the movie if you want. Best effect, watch it at night. Haha. Ü

Below is the URL of this movie official website (best view with Internet Explorer, cos will have some problem with Mozilla Firefox), if you want to find out more. (Be prepared!!)

Movie synopsis

Its about a Thai girl, Ting (Pitchanart Sakakorn) who is a film crew, assigned to play the role of the victim in a police reenactment of a serious crime (something like Crime Watch). She impersonates the real character like a professional actress. However, when she is acting the role of Meen (Apasiri Nitibhon), a former Miss Thailand who was tragically murdered, she experiences strange feelings she is unable to control. That is when all the weird stuff happened continuously.
