Sentosa Luge & Skyride + Beach Sports

Anyone can guess who are the two people on the Skyride in the first photo? No prize for that again. : P

Yesterday, 6 October 2007, I went for another outing with my other 7 NTU classmates + 1 classmate’s colleague to Sentosa. We left for Sentosa via the Sentosa Express aka Monorail at Vivocity Level 3 in the morning. Then we alighted at the Beach Station and walked to the Luge & Skyride Ticket Office which is within a 100m distance.

We discussed quite a while at the ticket office on which type of ticket package we wanted. In the end, we agreed that each of us buy the $16 ticket of 2 rides for the Luge and Skyride (Normal price for Adult of 1 ride of Luge & Skyride cost $9). The Skyride took us around a few minutes to reach the Imbiah area for the Luge ride. The Luge ride is the most exciting part of the ride that all of us are waiting for. Haha.

Upon reaching the Luge ride station, we selected our respective safety helmets and line-up ourselves on 1 Luge each at the holding area. The working personnel guide us on how the operate the Luge, followed by our OTOT playtime. Hehe. This Luge ride was really the most exciting part of out day. We tried to compete among ourselves on the speed as we ride down very fast on the steep and curved downslope and also did some drift at some sharp corners. It was really fun, that’s why we can wait to try out the 2nd time. Ha.

This Luge ride is something like the Mario Kart (such be familiar for those we played TV video games before), but only the controller is slightly different and the wheels are hidden at the bottom.

Who are the people inside the photo of the Luge ride below?? Why I always like to take photos of people from their back view?? Don’t know why?? More mysterious bah. Haha Ü

After the rides, we proceeded to Siloso Beach to start with our beach sports. However 1 incident happened not long ago after we started our game. JW injured his foot while playing with my other 2 classmates. The serious part is that part of his foot bottom skin was partially peeled off and was bleeding. He was later taken off by the beach patrol vehicle for bandage. He was later not able to join us for some sports too. Hai… Sad for him.

Along the way, we played water balls & Frisbee in the sea for quite a while. After that we had our lunch with some egg & ham sandwiches prepared by WR. Many thanks to him. Cheers. Ü After that, we continued with Frisbee on the sandy beach, followed by beach volley game. Later on, DWS’s Australian friend also joined us in the beach volley game for a while in the afternoon. Following that, we continued chit chatting in the sea for quite some time, before making our way to Palawan Beach for a through shower and wash-up.

After leaving Sentosa, we went to Marina South to have our BBQ buffet dinner at the 镇发活海鲜 stall before making our way home. Along the way home by MRT, DWS was accidentally squeezed by the train door for nothing. That’s not all, we even took the train on the opposite direction without even noticing it until GL realized it and told us after passing a few stations. Haha. Anyway, it was a great day for all of us at Sentosa but the only thing that we need to take note next time is on safety as we don’t want accidents to happen in the next outing.
