Last night, 20 Dec 2008, I went to an event called “You’ve Got M@il Party with some of my NTU classmates and 2 female friends of WR at the St James Power Station.

This event, organized by the SDU and Safra is especially for the singles to meet new friends in the form of mass gathering and games. Participants are to pre-register for the event and no on the spot registration is allowed. Upon registration, each of us was given 1 goodie bag and it is quite heavy also. Don’t know why they put the large bottle of Shampoo and the very thick magazine inside the goodie bag, making it very inconvenient to carry the stuff around.

Nevertheless, we found a good spot of safekeeping our goodie bags at a corner and the space in front of us is the main stage for performance. Haha. During the event, every participant were given a ID sticker to be sticked on the left arm and also a few cards to write the ID no. of the opposite sex that they are interested to know by mailing into a Mail Box or passing to the PostMan/PostWoman. In addition, participants also played a game called “Hello Bingo!” by going around to ask the opposite sex whether they have any common points stated in the card.

During the event, each participants were given free flow of Bacardi drinks there were also performances on the stage, lucky draw and the singing session from the Project Superstar 2 winner, Daren Tan. The event ended around 11pm, but the few of us stayed back to walk around the other parts of St James Power Station, like “Broiler”, KTV lounge, “FireFlys” led by our Daw, and went to a bar to have some drinks together. It is also my first time entering into a place like that as I don’t really visit at all. Haha.

Ultimately, we stayed till 3+am and walked to the Harbour Front Mac to catch some snacks before going back home to ZZZ……
