Safari Zoo Run 2009

Yesterday, 7 Feb 2009, I participated in the first ever Safari Zoo Run. This run is a bit different as it allows runners to run inside the Night Safari Zoo during the daylight, followed by the Singapore Zoo after that. The total distance over is 6.2km which is considered short distance. The other unusual timing about this run is that it was held in the late Saturday afternoon at 4pm.

Anyway, started the race by running into the Night Safari Zoo, but there are no animals to see there… All animals brought to hide somewhere by the ZooKeepers. After that runners ran into the Singapore Zoo where we got to finally see the animals. I stopped a few times to take a few snapshots of the animals before continue running. At the ending point, I met 1 of my army friends who also took part in the race also. Anyway, it is another running experience again.
