(Saucony 100 Plus Passion Run 2009 Banner @ Novena Square)
This weekend is just another ordinary normal weekend for me. I only went to Novena Square to collect my race pack for the upcoming Saucony 100 Plus Passion Run 2009 which will be held next Sunday, 24 May 2009 at the ECP. This run started in 2007 and it will be the 3rd time I participated in this run.
It is lucky that there is not much crowd in the race expo for the runners to collect their race pack. At most 5 minutes, the collection was done. Maybe I went there at the right timing? Haha
After the collection of the race pack, I walked past a booth where some people are playing some gun shooting game on the 100 plus bottle cardboard to win either a waistband or a sweatband. How the game works is when the player shot the white color area of the “100” text, they will get a waistband and if they manage to shot the “star” in between the two “0” of the “100” text, they will get a 100 plus sweatband.

I also went in to join in the fun. My 1st try was lousy and luckily in my 2nd try, I remembered to use my rifle handling technique learnt in army to obtain a better shot to obtain a 100 plus sweatband. Haha (see photo below)

The Saucony 100 Plus Passion Run 2009 this year also use a slightly different timing system. Previous runs usually used the black color round plastic champion chip to be tied to the shoelaces, however this year, they implemented another system by using a paper-like strip to be stick to the shoelaces called "Chronotack D-Tag". I think the cost of this new system is cheaper for them bah. Haha. Ü
