Western Adventure Park Connector

(Chinese Article on the Western Adventure Park Connector from MyPaper)

Today, I read an article on Western Adventure Park Connector (WAPC) that was launched yesterday.

This 23km Western Adventure Park Connector is the 2nd Park Connector that has just been completed by NParks after the Eastern Park Connector was first launched. It costs $10 million to built this WAPC. This WAPC also does not has any overhead bridges or underpasses that hinder cycling.

Although the total distance for this WAPC is only half the distance of Eastern Park Connector, but it connects 8 parks together including Bukit Batok Nature Park, Bukit Batok Town Park “Little Guilin”, Choa Chu Kang Park, Bukit Panjang Park, Stagmont Park, Villa Verde Park, Zhenghua Park to the newly opened Dairy Farm nature Park that was opened last month. Dairy Farm Nature Park also connects to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and the New Singapore Quarry.

It is a great opportunity for nature lovers to visit all these parks through the use of the WAPC either by cycling or walking. It is a good exercise for all.

From the article, the northern loop for the Park Connector will be completed by third quarter of next year. NParks aims to develop 300km of Park Connector by 2015.

I am thinking of visiting the newly opened Dairy Farm Nature Park and the Singapore Quarry in some days to come. Who is interested?
