Hay Dairies Goat Farm Visit (夏氏牧羊场)

(Photo taken with my nephew, Gabriel @ Hay Dairies Goat Farm)

As an early Birthday celebration for my elder nephew, Gabriel, my family went for a visit to the Hay Dairies Goat Farm (夏氏牧羊场) @ Lim Chu Kang area on the previous Sunday on the 5th March 2006.

The Hay Dairies Goat Farm is located at the very far end of Lim Chu Kang area. One can only get there by car and by taking Bus 975 from Choa CHu Kang.

The Goat Farm over there has about 1,000 goats of mixed breed, where their main purpose is to produce milk for sale. In your info, the farm uses the latest milking, pasteurising, homogenising & bottling machines in producing their very own fresh goat's milk, which will then be sold directly to customers. When we reach there, we bought 2 packets of grass for feeding and went over to have a look at the goats. They come in different age groups ranging from the young ones to the oldest. The young ones are very cute. :)

The goats are curious and sociable creatures and they are also playful but docile. When we were feeding the goats, they are really hungry, they quickly ate up the grass that we taken them, but some of them are very picky one, as they still want to smell the grass and decide not to eat them. Then my nephew, Gabriel, was too afraid to feed the goats, as he dare not hold the grass on his hand and pass near to the goats' mouth. haha. :)Btw, the photo above was specially taken, as my nephew, Gabriel and I are both born in the year of Goat. Thats why taken the photo together with the Goat. hehe :")

Overall, it is a good experience visiting to the Goat Farm as I have also not been to 1 before.
