Recently, I happened to walk past the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum (佛牙寺) along Sago Street near Chinatown. Actually this temple has started building few years back, but only currently the construction is completed. The temple should be classified as the largest one in Singapore bah. Really looks like a large ancient castle to me. Haha. I was there on 24th May, but the temple was not officially open yet. So I happened to just take a few shoot of the temple in the day time.
Then on Vesak day itself (31th May 2007), I happened to walk pass there again in the evening time, then I remembered the temple was officially declared open by our President SR Nathan on the night before Vesak day. When I reached there, the temple was closed for the day, so I was a bit disappointed not to enter the temple a have a look.
Since I was there, so I took a few photo shoots again, but this time round is in the night time. From the outside, I can say that the temple looks really grand with the traditional temple architecture and the combination of the lightning that give it an excellent appearance. You can compare the temple photos taken during the day time and the night time. I think the night time one is nicer. U agree??
Anyway, I hope next time, when I pass by there again, I can enter the temple to have a look. You too can pay a visit there too. hehe Ü. I saw from the notice that the street lightup over there will last till 10th june 2007 and the daily opening hours of the temple will be from 4.30AM to 9PM. (wah!! Open that early. Serious man…)
