Black & White Photography

Attached are some of my B/W photos that I have produced during the photography module that I took in NTU last semester. Although the photos may seen not up to standard and have no theme at all, but I have spent quite some time in the darkroom developing these photos… Really need some patient and technique to do it. I think that’s the busy semester that I have experienced.

It was really a good experience trying out something new using a manual Nikon SLR camera and learning the techniques of developing the contact prints (printout of the negatives) and the 8 x 10 B/W photos in the darkroom. In the module, I also get to know a few friends who developed amazing B/W photos in the process. Ü.

Every time, I think I was the one whom the lecturer always rejected my photos and asked me to produced another 1 or 2 more of contact prints again. Hai… She always say “your photos does not work”…. and She always say "u must know the reason why u take that particular photo for"...

It can really spend a lot of time inside the darkroom just trying to develop a photo with good and right composition out in the process. When u developed a nice B/W photo out, you will be delighted too. Somehow, it is interesting to look at B/W photos too rather than the normal colored photos. U agree??Dawson, I think u should know what I mean bah. Since u went inside before.

Hope next time still can get a chance to develop some more B/W photos again… Still a lot of things not really learnt yet...
