On the 26 Oct 2008, we woke up at around 6.45am and had our breakfast at the Hotel Café around 7+am before we checked out from the hotel at 9am and continued our trip to Melaka (formerly called Malacca)
Before we moved on to Melaka, the friendly Malaysian tour guide brought us to a chocolate Galley/factory in KL for a visit and also to purchase some goodies. After that we set off to Melaka and our first stop is the Bee Museum where it showcased the different kinds of bee and honey available. We tried out some honey samples and my mum bought a bottle of honey on the way.

Following that, we moved on to Jonkey Walk (鸡场街) where we visited some temples, cultural shophouses selling painting, antiques and snack goodies. I heard from the tour guide that Jonkey Walk exists since year 1645. Wah!
After that, we board our coach to proceed on to Mahkota Parade where we had our lunch there at a place called “Newton Culture Food Village". Haha. Not Newton Circle Food Centre. After the lunch, I only left around 45min to wonder around to take some more snapshots before we head back to Singapore. As such, I quickly moved round the place and took as many snapshots as possible. Haha
Mahkota Parade, Historical Site, Places of interest
On the way out of Melaka, the tour guide brought us to the famous “Tan Kim Hock fruit outlet" for us to further purchase some more snacks. On the journey back to Singapore, the tour guide took us to another place called “YoYo native food product outlet” to further used up our RM. haha

Overall, it was an enjoyable trip since I have not visited Melaka before. However I feel that it was a bit rush going for a tour with RC because there is a time limit for the places of interest that we visited. Too bad. Maybe next time, I can go to Melaka again since there are quite a few places of interest that we did not have time to visit during the trip. Melaka is indeed a nice place to visit with its many rich historical places of interest around. (The End)
