Yesterday, 7 Dec 2008, I participated in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon race once again. But this time round, I chose to run the 21km race instead as I know that I don’t really have the time to train for the full marathon and the 21km would be a good choice for me.
As 1 of my colleagues who signed up for the race got his leg injured earlier on, hence he asked me to look for a replacement and I managed to find 1 poly friend, JX who is keen to run the 21km race with me.
However, after passing Shenton Way, I lost JX as there were too many runners around. So eventually, I ran alone in the race and started to walk after passing the halfway point. Don’t know why, I just feel tired and lazy to continue running and also nobody to push me along the way. As such, I walked for the rest of the race like taking a big walk. Then at the location near the Singapore Flyer, I noticed that some sports cars were parked at the side for display which includes Ferrari, Daytona etc.
After a long walk and upon reaching the last 1km, I started to jog a bit to finish my 21km race. This time round, my timing is quite slow and is not as good as the past few years… Totally lack of training…
After that I met KT for lunch at Marina Square and we took photographs together before we left city area. After that, I went to Delta Sports Complex for a shower before going to other place. This move of going to Delta Sports Complex for bathing caused me BIG.
After my bath, I realized that my wallet was missing and probably been stolen. Police came for investigation and checked a malay suspect’s bag but did not find my wallet. Then the malay suspect told me that he will sue me for suspecting him and causing so much problem… After that I made a police report at the nearest NPC for the lost of my items. Whole afternoon wasted for nothing… Really a very unlucky day for me… :( Now I have to settle all my cards replacement and also worried that the thief may use the ID to borrow $ from loan shark. Damn sianz… Now a lesson learnt for me. Then today, 2 of my army friends bought a new wallet for me. Thanks TN and ZS. :)
As a reminder to all, please look after your own belongings at Public Areas, especially at Delta Swimming Complex and Delta Sports Complex because the police told me there are quite a few cases reported there already.
