Southern Ridges Trail

(The 7 adventurers)

Yesterday, 8 June 2008 was a really tiring day for me. First of all, I participated in a 15km race in the morning and joined my NTU classmates for the southern ridges trail in the early afternoon. For the southern ridges trail, we began our adventure from Kent Ridge Park with upslope walk at the very initial stage. Haha. Ü

After that we walked past the Canopy Walk towards the Reflection of Bukit Chandu which I have been there before the other time. We did not enter the exhibition house at Reflection of Bukit Chandu, but continued our journey to the Flora Walk & HortPark where more interesting and nice landscape appeared in front of our eyes.

From HortPark, we finally arrived at the first bridge, Alexandra Arch that we intend to conquer. Not much photos were taken at this Arch and we walked past the Arch towards the long 1.3km Forest Walk at Telok Blangah Hill Park on the raised steel decking. From the Forest Walk, we proceed towards the Henderson Waves where we spent quite some time over there taking snapshots. It was quite spacious on the Henderson Waves and it was great standing so high up from the road below. However we arrived there too early at 6pm, so it was not possible for us to wait there till 7+pm to catch the lighting on the Henderson Waves. Too bad… : (

Following that, we carried out our journey towards Faber Walk and finally get back to Vivocity via Marang Trail. Wah. That was really great to view so much landscape and attractions in an approximately 4 hours walk for us. After the trail, we replenish our hungry stomach with buffet dinner at the Dragon Gate Restaurant at Harbour Front Centre. Oh. It was really worth eating dinner at that Restaurant. Haha Ü
