On the New Year eve, I went for a farewell lunch for 1 of my colleagues at Raffles Place in the afternoon. After the lunch at around 4pm, I did not go back home but walked around the city area alone. In the end, I walked to Marina Square to have my dinner at around 6+pm and then walked back to the Asian Civiliasation Museum for for a free museum entry to visit the exhibition “Land of the Morning – The Philippones and its People”. Too bad no photography is allowed in the exhibition hall.Although the exhibition hall is small but it is still quite an interesting exhibition.

After visiting the museum at around 7+pm, I walked slowly to the Esplanade Bridge. The Esplanade Bridge was a good choice for viewing the fireworks as the police will fence up that area after certain timing. When the Esplanade Bridge was fenced up, nobody is allowed to enter the bridge and the area on the bridge is still spacious. In the end, I waited on the bridge for 4 hours to view the fireworks. In order to kill the time, I took some photos and view all my 1700+ photos in my camera since I took them this year June. I don't even know I took so many photos within a 6 months period. Haha.

When the clock reached 00:00, the main show began with all the people shouting and the fireworks started. I was already prepared with the video recording on my digital camera and hold on to it for around 9 minutes of fireworks. Haha The fireworks were still considered not bad but I think it is still not the best that I have seen.

Anyway, wish all my friends, family and colleagues a happy New Year 2010. Hope this new year will be a great one for all and most importantly it can bring luck, success and good health. Have a great year ahead. Cheers Ü
