The big walk is back again after 2 years and I was excited to participate it after I missed the one in 2008. This year’s walk is a 5km fun walk from Singapore Flyer to the new Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade near the Marina IR.

This is my third time participating in the big walk event and my previous attempts were in year 2005 and 2006. This year, other than KT who joined me again in the event, 2 other friends also joined in the fun walk. The starting point of the event is at the Singapore Flyer and we took a morning train down to Dhoby Ghaut and transferred to the Circle line and got off at Promenade MRT station which is closer to Singapore Flyer.
When we arrived there, there was a huge crowd queuing up to collect the goodie bags before starting the walk. KT arrived there earlier so he helped us to collect the goodie bag for us. Really thanks to him. :”D
After collecting the goodie bags, we took a group photos and proceed with our fun walk of the morning. From the start point at Singapore Flyer, we walked toward the new Bayfront bridge linking toward to new Marina IR. Beside the Bayfront bridge is also the new Helix Bridge which was completed few months back.. After crossing rhe Bayfront bridge, we entered into the new zone of the Marina IR which most of us were excited to see it.

Soon after we walked past the Marina IR, we finally reached the end point at the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade where there is a carnival there with many interesting booths. However we did not stay there for long as we can feel drizzling along the way. When we completed the walk, we had our breakfast at Marina Macdonald before I proceed on to visit the Singapore Garden Festival after that.
